1 - Misspellings

Check for words that may be spelt incorrectly - especially for differences in UK vs US English.

2 - Grammatical Errors

Check for errors in your grammar, and avoid cliche phrases.

3 - Irrelevant details

Avoid adding details that have little to no significance towards your target role.

4 - Outdated qualifications

Avoid including qualifications that are expired, use up to date qualifications.

5 - Passive sentences

Avoid passive sentences, use concise action-focused sentences.

6 - Clutter

Use fonts that are easy to read, use appropriate spacing in your content.

7 - Formatting

Be consistent with fonts, sizes, and colors in similar areas of your resume.

Use a layout that is visually appealling and easy to follow.
